Above the Salt – cultivar name
(Spalding) – hybridizer.
Number following hybridizer is scape (flower stalk) height.
Plant habit: Evr = evergreen; Sev = semi-evergreen; Dor = dormant.
All plants grown at Hickory Haven Perennials are hardy for a zone 5/6 garden.
Bloom season: EE = extra early; E = early; EM = early-mid season; M = mid season;
ML = mid late; L = late. Peak bloom (mid-season, M) is roughly the second week of July.
RE = repeat bloom. Plants listed as repeat bloomers do not always rebloom in our zone 5/6 garden. Special notation is given to those cultivars that have rebloomed (RE) in our garden.
Bloom size: measurement in inches.
Prices are for double-fan bare root plants. Plant double fans together for better growth and bloom.
* Denotes diploid (22 chromosomes) cultivar. All others are tetraploids (44 chromosomes).
